Founded by Nordic lifestyle writers who believe everyday rituals deserve thoughtful attention and beautiful spaces.
Scandinavian Coffee Kitchen Living emerged from a simple observation: in the rush of modern life, our morning coffee rituals had become transactional rather than transformational. We grabbed mugs from cluttered cabinets, used whatever beans happened to be accessible, and approached our first cups with urgency rather than presence.
In 2019, a group of Oslo-based lifestyle writers and home organization enthusiasts gathered to explore how Nordic design principlesâminimalism, functionality, and connection to natural rhythmsâcould be applied specifically to the coffee corner. What began as informal kitchen gatherings evolved into a systematic approach to coffee station organization.
We drew inspiration from the Scandinavian concepts of lagom (balance), hygge (coziness), and friluftsliv (connection to nature). These aren't just aesthetic trendsâthey're philosophies about living well with intention and restraint.
Our programs translate these principles into practical systems that work for real kitchens and real lives, not just styled photo shoots.
We believe in editing down to essentials. Organization systems should reduce complexity, not add layers of maintenance that become overwhelming.
Beautiful spaces must also be practical. Every recommendation we make serves both aesthetic and functional purposes in daily coffee rituals.
Coffee preparation can be a meditation when approached with attention. Our systems create space for presence rather than rushing through automated motions.
Nordic living emphasizes longevity and natural materials. We encourage investing in quality pieces that last rather than accumulating disposable items.
These principles work in small apartments and large homes alike. You don't need expensive renovationsâjust thoughtful attention to what you already have.
Living spaces should adapt with the seasons and your changing needs. We teach systems that flex rather than rigid rules that break under real-life pressure.
